Here's how Trim by OneMain's Bill Negotiation service works:
- You upload a telephone, wireless, cable, internet, satellite radio and/or security bill for negotiation.
- Before we negotiate, we may contact you in case we need you to authenticate your account with your service provider.
- One of our expert bill negotiators contacts your provider to reduce your bill monthly or get a one-time credit. When you're on the best and cheapest plan and no monthly savings is available, we will negotiate for a one-time credit instead.
- If we are successful in reducing your bill, we send you a message to inform you about the savings.
- You should see those savings reflected on your bill within 1-2 months.
- When our team identifies an opportunity to renegotiate your bill and increase or extend those savings, we'll automatically do so... no need for you to worry about it!
A few additional notes about Trim's negotiation methodology:
- We'll never sign you up for a contract without your permission.
- We avoid downgrading your service unless it's clear that a cheaper plan will better fit your usage patterns and you have approved the changes.
- We may upgrade your plan if a better promotion is available that will save you money.
